Powerblanket vs. 2" foam & blanket test results
- Test conducted with variable temperatures ranging from nearly freezing to below freezing overnight
- Test cylinders made according to ACI standards (all the same)
- Test cylinders placed as near to the product that it represents as possible (field cured as per ACI standards)
- Test cylinders allowed 20 hours of cure time before testing
- Test cylinders broke on hydraulic cylinder press, following PCI standards, and compressive strengths were recorded as follows
2" foam & standard concrete blanket Powerblanket
| 727 psi | 1713 psi (135% increase) |
| 1042 psi | 2394 psi (129% increase) |
| 1448 psi | 2759 psi (90% increase) |
| 1592 psi | 2394 psi (108% increase) |
| 2081 psi | 3680 psi (77% increase) |
The varying percentages of benefits realized are most likely due to varying outside conditions such as temperatures. In colder temperatures, the blankets may have more potential for benefit.
